With the shortest day very near now, I noticed that we are currently having less than 8 hours of sunlight per day. Unfortunately the sunrise will still be getting a bit later until the first week of January. Looks dry for next week though.
My garden and I live in South Wales.

I noticed that AuntyRach - on Friday the sun sets one minute later here than it did the day before. Whoo hoo ! Meanwhile weather is it's usual self in Glos, but at least the rain has stopped and the wind has dropped as well.

Everything is so wet from yesterday’s rain ☔️
    Dull day - Lincoln
  • A bright sunny start to the day with a 8 mph breeze from SW still very wet underfoot.

Stockton N.E. stepped out of bed getting over a winter cold and thought it had returned before it actually got better, the air was frigid. Did my usual things feeling distinctly down at the thought of Christmas alone due to not being able to see new Great Grandchildren, (well I mean, snuffling G.G.Dad??) then as I passed thermostat saw it was on zero, Yikes.
My Lovely Cleaning Lady Joanne had turned it off while she cleaned yesterday and forgot to turn it back, still my blue from cold nose seems more glued to my face and less running so maybe?
Bright but cold here, white Christmas a possibility.
    Frank.

Well it looked like being a nice day but it's clouding over again now. Bright and breezy though so I'll get the greenhouse open to air out a bit. It's been so dark for the past week that some of my indoor plants are starting to look really leggy.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Frank hope your cold gets better , my favourite cold remedy is Whiskey 🥃, Honey 🍯 and Lemon 🍋
A White Christmas would look nice ⛄️
