Heavy rain and wind for most of the day. The men had earmarked today to hang the garden lights but had to cancel - they are hoping tomorrow will be dry so they can get out there to festoon the garden with lights.
Blowing a proper hooley at the moment (Glos). Cover blew off the letter box, OH trying fix it. Neighbour's Christmas lights blew down so they are trying to fix them too.
Beautiful sunny start to the day 7° with very light breeze 4 mph SSW in contrast to the last few days 45 mph wind gusting to 68 mph and constant rain. A trip to allotment later to check poly and wonky are still standing

It's now calm, cold and cloudy here, so glad the torrential and high winds have stopped. Had a horrendous journey back home on the M4 late yesterday afternoon, so glad to be home in one piece.

Absolutely awful. Glad I put stuff out for the ground feeding birds,a few blackbirds and sparrows having a feast!
