Pls help!

Hello - can anybody help me identify this climber?
I’m worried that it’s bindweed but it’s just growing upwards (not around anything) and also hasn’t flowered at all....
any help much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I think that's Fallopia baldschuanica, aka Russian Vine

Thank you v much. Internet seems to think it’s a bit of a danger- should I get rid of it in your opinion?

Papi Jo's common name describes it. Depends how much you like it and how much space to have. Personally I hate it, nothing to offer between flowerings

I would get rid of it as it will smother everything in sight - very quickly. There are other climbers that are far more attractive and manageable.
North East Somerset - Clay soil over limestone
  • Thank you everyone!!!
I will definitely get rid then.
sounds nasty. Need to try to do so without getting rid of this though - think it’s a clematis? Growing with the Russian vine 😣
