Green Flies on Blackberries and Raspberries fruit

NewBoy2NewBoy2 Posts: 1,813
Not greenflies but  a normal fly with a bright green body
They are sitting on the fruit as they start to "go over " as my Grannie used to say
I would imagine they are sucking the sugar. I have not noticed this before

Yep ... it's what they do ... the country hedgerows will have a lot of them.  You can wash your fruit before eating (although I never do and I'm still here).  :)

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
