Still No Sign of any Plums

Hi.
I have a Victoria Plum Tree that is now 6 years Old. In all that time I have never seen any Blossom on it and have only had two grape size plums on it. The Apple and Pear next to it always have fruit. I have pruned back the shoots to within 2 buds of last years wood for the last 3 years. But still no sign of any fruit this year. All I do get is 1000'snds of greenfly on it so I spray them and they clear up. I have just purchased a Patio Plum to grow in a pot.
What do you think. Cut it down and do away with it or carry on trying.
Any advice would be appreciated.

If you have loads of greenfly, maybe the tree itself is not happy. Did you plant the tree yourself? How did you plant it? Is the ground very dry? What position is it in? Do you mulch? I would suggest if you can sort out the tree itself, instead of pruning and spraying, you get more blossom, more fruit and a happier tree.

leave it alone would be my recommendation as well. Plants get by perfectly well without human interference, they've had thousand of years of practice

Thanks for all of the advice.
I will take it all in and see what happens next year.

you don't prune stoned fruits like apples and pears (that's the two leaf rule -but to be fair even that seems a little drastic, I leave four leaves on my apples), stoned fruits flower on two year old wood (or more) so i think you've been cutting all the flowers off the previous year, i prune mine at the end of July and only remove branches that are growing the wrong way (mine is a fan) and any new growth gets reduced back to five leaves, and that's it apart from that i leave it alone.
