Plum problem

I have a Victoria plum tree with a large crop of ripening plums. In April I put up a plum moth maggot trap which has caught a large amount of moths. I also put on a greaseband. We have started to pick some of the plums and every single one is infested with maggots, even though it's difficult to see the entry point. What else could I have done? As the plums are gorgeous!
