What can I feed?

Hello, I have quite a lot of liquid nettle feed left over-is it too late in the season to feed anything with it?

Thanks!

As it is hight in nitrogen, any leafy veg would love it.  Otherwise I'd use it on annuals - you don't really want to induce soft green growth on pereniials, shrubs or trees at this time of year.

  • Thanks Bob, I’m quite keen to use it up as my husband keeps complaining about the smell in the garage...

:) I keep mine down the bottom of the garden, hidden between a bush and a fence.  It's a bit wild down that end so I don't go near it very often. :)

  • ‘Free fertiliser’, I thought-completely unprepared for the stench. And if you get it on your hands... 😷

If you can't find a more productive use for it, it'll keep in a bottle (with a nice tight lid) over winter in a cool shed, or use it as a compost activator on your compost heap.

  • Oooh, great-I’ll glug a bit on the compost too... thanks
