What is this?

And how do i get rid of it.it keeps coming back.

    Looks to me like ground ivy.  It can be hoed or pulled up but will come back from teeny root stolons so vigilance is needed.

    Nice present!

    I have a n attractive form of persicaria with deep red splodges on its leaves that has grown in every pot I filled with a certain batch of bought compost.   Wouldn't mind but I'd just paid for 3 of it to use as ground cover at a plant fair the month before it started sprouting all over.
