Another 1000L water butt?

  • I had four on my old allotment all FOC and left them for the new owner thinking that that was my last allotment wrong once you have the bug it just won't go away.
    I got lucky my new plot has one on it and I have three on order will have to wait but I don't have to pay for them just arrange collection.

    This post has made me think. I am putting in a garage/workshop and overall the building will be a fair size (7m * 18m) and will have mains tap water connected but I have room for several large butts (well loads of room actually) so will think about putting some to collect rainwater.

    Where have you ordered yours from and what is a reasonable price?

    Richard last year I paid something like ££65 plus £15 delivery for black one. Now I got talking to someone who has one in their garden and he wants £50 I'll offer £40. I could possibly do with 3 but I'll have no chance am still struggling to convince partner cos I won't see cost benefit for 2 yrars
