Rose advice - losing leaves

Wheelie1Wheelie1 Posts: 10
I have 2 patio roses in large ceramic planters outside. Both have flowered well and until recently were looking very healthy with new growth coming through with more buds and flowers appearing but some of the leaves are starting to go brown and in some cases curl up and fall off. I have fed them regularly with rose feed and watered daily. Wondered if someone could please identify the problem, guessing it may be the leaves are diseased, and advise best course of action.
Both the roses are exposed to full sun.

Goodness, a bit of a mess that one... it appears you have been watering the foliage quite excessively as I can see hard water marks on all the leaves.. if you have put fertilizer in the water, then you may have put too much, and burnt the foliage as a result.. some of that looks like fertilizer burn in hot sun...

Pick off all the dead leaves and buds and in future only water the roots, keep it off the foliage..  if you have been using as a foliar feed, please note foliar feeding is next to useless and damaging in sunshine...   best of luck with your roses from now on...

Thanks for the advice Marorena regarding the leaves will bear that in mind in future. I had been using a powdered rose feed on the soil but I did water the whole plant at times not just the roots.
