    I was slightly confused until i realised you are in Spain! It's a butterfly with the latin name Charaxes jasius, colloquially known as a Two-tailed pasha or a foxy emperer.

    Definitely the one, thank you ForTheBees. First time sighting but we do have lots of wild arbutus unedo in the surrounding hills and a single one in my garden, so given this is her tree of choice hopefully she is breeding. When I looked it up they were for sale on a Devon butterflies site, which I found quite shocking.
