Plant ID

hi, can anyone ID this for me please? Flower looks a bit like some sort of convolvulus.

    Can't see it very clearly, but it looks to me like a godetia  aka Clarkia amoena

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.





  • Just looked that up and I think you’re right. It’s in a patch where I scattered annual seeds but they didn’t include godetia so it found its own way there. Many thanks!

  • Not listed but it says ‘including’ starflowers, cornflower, dill, marigold and lace phacelia so I suppose that doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t other things. It’s supposed to be a mixture of bee-attracting flowers.
