It's a jungle out there...

My Virginia Creeper has covered half the staircase in 6 weeks... By October, who knows how much more  :#

Anyone else with a Virginia Creeper? Please do share an image. Very much looking forward to the Autumn colours  B)

I have one that my hubby keeps tearing down because it keeps creeping to the boiler outlet and into pipes etc but it keeps growing back, I like it but it is a bit of a thug I suppose :) I hope to transplant it where it can be allowed to flourish.

My neighbour used to have one.
She got rid of it when she found it prising open the bedroom window.
Is she sure that it was a Virginia Creeper and not just a creep?  :D

I will definitely have to keep any eye on it once it reaches the top of the staircase. I may turn it back on itself and feed it through the bike at the top (it's been locked to the staircase for the past 5 years and all rusted... Left there by the previous owner).

Might look nice covered in all that foliage!

I planted two three years ago and ......nothing. There they sat behind a bush. One even upped and died.
Earlier this year while trimming said bush I found a lil tiny string with roots along it so I chopped it up and put it in pots. It all grew. It stuck to the wall, the downpipe, the next plant along and the next after that. The original was clearly bestirred enough to spring into action and is now heading gutterwards on the side of the garage.
I've a feeling things are going to get interesting around here. And green!

    Ppauper  :D
I wondereed if it was just a creep too...
We have a Boston Ivy at work - it's currently attempting to come into the workshop with us. I regularly pull little bits off at the door going in or out.
I love Virginia creeper though - much nicer than the B. Ivy, although it's lovely when it turns. Won't be long.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
