Echinacea

My Echinacea isn't looking very healthy. I watered it last night as it looked thirsty but today after being watered still looking sorry for itself. Any suggestions?

    It would really take off if you could plant it out in the garden.

    I might try and find somewhere for it as repotting it hasn't really made it better. The leaves seem really black

    I see from the photo it’s standing in water, these are prairie plants, they thrive in hot dry conditions so if you put it in the garden it will hopefully drain a bit more.
