Pansies' leaves are turning white and dying

Hi ,  my pansies' leaves are turning white as if they are covered with some white powder. I just read on the internet that Neem oil might help but not sure as never used this oil before. I would really appreciate it if anyone can help me with this. Many thanks!

Looks like mildew which is, unhelpfully, often a result of being too dry or too wet.  Pansies are usually short lived and also prefer cool, shady conditions in hot weather.  You may be best off just binning the plant and getting fresh stock.

Neem oil is most effective on young plants in full growth and is also an insecticide so may well harm beneficial pollinators.

@Obelixx should mildew affected plants be kept out of the compost bin?  Does it spread to other plants?

If you catch it early before it has time to produce spores and spread then it's usually OK to compost it but I wouldn't risk it if there's a lot of it on several plants.  The RHS offers this advice on dealing with disposal of diseased material.  It includes helpful tips on other problems and plant and tool hygiene:-
