Hi Berghill. Oh my goodness. Glad I’m not in Conneticut. All those pests to look out for! Thank you. It made an interesting read but no green catetpillars. Im going to the nursery where I bought the pkants in 2 weeks so I will ask them.

BLT you would have felt the blueberries and they would not have been nice and firm so I wouldn’t worry because I think you would have only kept and frozen the firm ones so no caterpillars. That jam sounds delicious!

come on someone out there must have had green caterpillars in blueberries!!

I was wondering if the bushes were imported with the pest eggs on the branches.

What varieties have you got ... they're not all the same variety are they?  Most blueberries need pollinating by a different variety of blueberry.  We have three blueberry bushes, all different varieties.

Pink lemonade and yes all the same. I am sure I was told they are self fertile but maybe not? They are in large pots of ericaceous compost healthy looking bushes but no fruit

I don't know Pink Lemonade but there's quite a bit of stuff on 'tinterweb about it not producing well and probably not being totally self-fertile ... apparently it's a hybrid between two different blueberry species which makes it difficult to find the right pollination partner
