These are growing in abundance in my 'lawn' . They seem to thrive in the desert conditions.
Can anyone tell me what they are?

Mouse Ear Hawkweed -  Pilosella officinarum ... it loves this weather ... my front lawn is full of them again ... I'd just got rid of most of them after the last hot dry spell ... I try to keep the numbers down 'cos our elderly neighbour gets a bit anxious when he sees the fluffy seeds drifting onto his lawn 'cos the chap who mows his lawn complains about them.

Ironically looking much happier than " the lawn" . Isn't nature wonderful?

I love them. They must be there all the time but get mowed when there's grass.
    Thanks all.
