  Another name is Christmas Cherry; used to be sold as ornamental plants for Christmas.

  I grew it once from seed. Then I touched the seed and rubbed my eyes. I spent half an hour with my head in a bowl of water trying to rinse my eyes out. If that is what it does to eyes, I dread to think what it would do to insides.
