I sometimes accidentally flag someone. I can only use my left hand after a stroke, so sometimes a finger gets placed on the flag in error. It could very well be me. Soreeee.
Just to illustrate this matter of points & spam reporting. A few minutes ago I spotted another Chinese spam post so I reported it as spam. I was 3rd in the list of spam reporters.
Then 2 more forum members came to the rescue and the "quota" of 5 having been reached the Chinese spammer's discussion was automatically removed.
Just before it was removed however I was curious to go to the spammer's profile and was surprised to find it had -81 points (that's minus 81 points). No idea how that total was reached.
12:00 midday (French time) Crumbs, he's done it again! One more spam message by same spammer and now they get 85 points and the new spam discussion has been removed.
@NoraGW I suggest that a member who gets that amount of negative points be automatically barred from posting. Whilst retaining a reclaim possibility from the forum moderator(s).
@Papi Jo I don’t think banning would make any difference, they’ll just come back with a different email and name, we had some one before that constantly did that on here, fortunately gone now.

There are also 'bots' (known as 'web crawlers' or 'spiders' looking at the threads (this is how google create their search results etc.) so not all of those are from actual people viewing.

I was wondering what 1.1K views meant as that seems an awful lot or am I making a school boy error ?
