Potatoes- swollen lenticels??

Chuffed with the start of our little potato harvest- I think the cracks and white spots are just caused by crazy weather (heatwave, drought, then huge downpours last weekend) rather than disease? Can anyone verify?

The white spots may be due to sitting in wet soil.  It may affect their keeping qualities but fine to eat.  As long as they are a uniform cream/white colour inside, then you are good to go.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Perfect! If they look good inside they will be devoured tomorrow. They may take a while to peel though...
