Best plant identifier APP?

sabeehasabeeha Posts: 344
Hi!

Ive just moved house and there are loads of plants that I need to ID.

Has anyone got a recommendation of a good one?

I tried a couple, but they never seem to work!

Thank you

Post a photo and ask on here ... I think we have a better accuracy rate  :)

Hi, no, I haven't come across a reliable one yet. But I would be interested to hear if you find one. I guess IDing plants will be your new hobby for a while.

Dovefromabove I am literally a newbie, so feel a bit embarrassed - there are quite a few plants (all lol) that I need help ID'ing! But yes, more accurate on here :)

    Fire Will do so!
  • I saw a newspaper review of a few of these plant ID apps. It's a couple of years old now, so things have probably moved on a bit. Will be interesting to see which ones people find to be good.

We're still the best :):) because we think. We look at all aspects of a plant, not just the flowers

And there's some friendly rivalry to see who can I'D the plant first so the more the merrier. But not all on one thread.

And there's absolutely no need to be embarrassed ... we all have lots to learn ... some started earlier than others, that's all ... and I've been gardening for over 60 years and I still get things wrong ... but on here there's always some friendly person to put me right ... so ask away, let us have a go and see what happens ... there's usually a consensus after a few posts ... and if we don't know we're like a terrier with a bone ... we keep going at it until we do find out  ;)

There's not many that don't get an ID, there are so many of us, what one doesn't know, another will
