North east Scotland planting

Hi, I live in the north east of Scotland but I have a lovely spot of east facing garden.  What could I plant up?  Veggies?  I already grow blueberries, brambles, tomatoes etc. We had a shed removed and it has thrown up this piece of space.... soil isnt good obviously so any suggestions?

Hi j.heddle, it's difficult to say without knowing your soil type, whether it's boggy or free-draining. If it's east facing then it will likely be partially shaded with sun in the morning. I have a north facing front garden and have foxgloves, aquilegias, primroses, purple toadflax and tellima grandiflora growing quite happily there. Hardy geraniums would probably be ok there too.
