    I've done a couple Mary. I'll see what happens. They might  be too firm, but they seemed not bad. Fingers crossed.
    No need for postage if they work out well enough. Consider it a wee present from Bonny Scotland.... ;)

    Any tips on propagation?  I've a couple of heads in a vase, with about 1/2 ft of stem, that have already travelled 200 miles.

    I did a couple of softwood cuttings Wayside. Took about 6 - 7 inches of new wood, which was still pliable. Cut below the joint, stripped most of the leaves off, and put them in a pot of part compost, part vermiculite. Watered and put in a sheltered spot.
    No idea if they'll work!

    I did the same as FG last year...........very successfully, it was a mophead hydrangea

  • Feb 2020  Hello!
    I live in Hampshire.  My hydrangeas busy putting out their shoots.  Is it ok to prune now or should I wait a bit longer?
