Hello can anyone id this little naughty thing. Been eating some plants outside. I put him back where he was.

    Looks like Large White caterpillar  :)

    Caterpillar of the Large cabbage white.  They have quite a few different food plants.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Thanks and it seems to be one of those. I was starting to think the plant it was on seemed cabbagy but I never planted one so dont know where that came from.

    You could always have eaten him, Ynnead. Serve the bu**er right  :D
    We had a couple of caterpillars in the lettuce I picked the other day - daughter was alarmed. I'd have eaten it and not noticed. I expect I've eaten a fair number over the years...
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
