Tomato Issues!

Hi,

Last year I grew tomatoes for the first time and used an upturned bookcase.  It worked really well but the tomatoes seemed to take forever to ripen, so this year I bought a growhouse. My plants went totally mad and shot up to the roof! They are really leggy and although producing some fruit, a lot of the foliage seems to be dying off despite watering and feeding regularly.  What have I done wrong? I thought these plants liked a hot climate! :# can someone experienced enlighten me please :)

Hi Thea2. If u could post a pic that would be helpful. Theres quite a few good Tomato growers on here that will be able to help.

Did you start feeding them before the fruit had set? That is maybe one reason why they are leggy. With the leaves they may have gotten scorched in a growhouse in this weather. I get it occasionally on mine especially leaves that are close to or touching the sides of the greenhouse.

Thanks Stewyfizz, I'll see if I can upload one, I'm not sure how to on here! I didn't start feeding them early on, I cant remember exactly when I did though.. I'm feeding them on organic seaweed feed.

is the dying foliage at the bottom of the plant?

Predominantly, but no not all. Why, might this be significant?
