japanese maple

I bought a japanese maple about a month ago and as advised, I repotted it how they told me to. Its on a sunny position next to a wall that faces north.

The plant seems to have stopped growing and this dusty spots and yellow marks have appeared. Also something is eating it. Any ideas? should I worry about anything?

This is where I bought mine so perhaps you could ask the place that gave it to you unless it was just a GC
