I've got a few of these in the garden and would be interested to know what butterfly/moth they're going to turn in to. I've done an internet search but can't find any images to match.

    Hard to see clearly on the photo, but looks like a comma catepillar?

    I've just searched comma caterpillar and I think you are right. I wonder why that didn't come up on my earlier British caterpillar search though. 
    I look forward to seeing them in the garden as fully fledged butterflies.

    One of my favourite butterflies, apparently they like hops which we have lots of but we don’t get that many in our garden

    Mine seem to be on the nettles mostly
