  • I've had mine in the same spot for 15 years. Occasional suckers removed but essentially no maintenance. Mine hasn't taken over and provides a nice centre piece

    Well, people have different styles of garden so have different requirements ... not to mention different conditions ... I planted one a couple of years ago in dryish partial shade ... It's taking a long while to get going ...

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Yes if you have rich damp clay soil it will spread rampantly, if you can give it poorer dryer conditions, it is quite well behaved.
