My sister keeps a pet rabbit running loose in her garden. She has tried lots of rabbit resistant plants but to no avail! She can grow lavender and salvias. I am always on the lookout for salvia plants for her and luckily they grow well from cuttings. Hope this helps

There  is a lovely little book, not expensive, which has lots of ideas. It is called 'Gardening with the Enemy - a guide to rabbit proof gardening by  Janet Thomson. I tried to embed the link to Amazon but failed!

Thanks Debs64 and Grannybee. Would I be able to read that book on a kindle or has it photos?? Thanks

Not on a kindle and the only pics are line drawn sketches. There a few second-hand copies on Amazon.  I suppose you can always look at pics online after reading about the plants.

That's a tough, exposed spot, right by the sea.

Beautiful and tranquil, sure, I just meant, there will be certain plants that will do well in coastal, very exposed positions.

Hi Fire. I understood that thanks. I agree. I am also considering planting a large flowering shrub or two in the gravel at the corners. One will be a Buddlea but do you think a Viburnum opulus would survive at the coast??? x
