Trailing petunias in hanging baskets have gone very leggy, I am dead heading every day and now have long stems without flowers, will they re-flower if I cut them back?
That's what I used to do. Cut them back and they'll re-grow in no time. I got fed up deadheading petunias. I've grown them for years and love them, but what with loads of cosmos to deadhead too it got too much. This year I've grown calibrachoa instead - like a petunia, but a smaller flower and they are self cleaning, so no deadheading I've heard that the Wave variety of petunias doesn't need deadheading, so may try them next year.
