Noticed this growing behind the fence at my local railway station today. Any ideas?

Teasel ... wonderful plant ... flowers loved by pollinators, seeds loved by goldfinches.

It looks like a common teasel to me, someone with more experience may help  :)

Teasel (Dipsacus fullonum) ; normally biennial . A good seed plant for birds .

They grow from seed easily and once you have them they sneak into corners. I have one about eight foot tall by the compost bin and another which was even taller last year, by the hose fawcet.

Thanks all. Might get one of those. For the pollinators and birds of course. :p
