    Nice post and pictures and completely agree with your comments and approach :)

    I haven't bought any plants for many years. And once I got in to seed saving and sharing/swapping, I haven't bought any seeds either for nearly 3 years now.

    I've grown a number of their rare heritage tomatoes and played my part in saving/sharing seed and keeping them going for future growers.

    I love to grow from seed also, and nowadays rarely buy plants.  I do have trouble with seed collecting, I'm not sure but I often wonder if it is just too damp here to collect seeds, as they don't seem to dry on the plant.  This year I managed to save some pansy seeds.........purely by chance.
  • Now the NW hose pipe ban is lifted I've decided to start populating the nursery bed with 'left over' seedlings. Hellebores are the first to in.
