Daniel and the team will sort it out as soon as they get to the office.  :)

Spammers target the whole world, not just GW! It's their joy and our grief. :(

A stop on new members would sort it for a while

We’ve locked our site for the time being just in case, they can register but have to wait for approval.  This would be a good policy on GW.

Is this a problem that Daniel and the Team are able to sort out?

and by that I mean, stopping the spam problem to a greater degree and not just removing them each morning once they arrive at work, because on the old site we never had spam issues to this level, where there is page after page of the stuff.

I would imagine that pretty soon, unless the Team can get on top of this, then coming into work is going to seem like a real pain in the backside, knowing that it's just going to be another morning of spam removal.

    Hi guys,

We have spam filters in place but unfortunately some of it is still slipping through the net.

We can't stop site registrations I'm afraid. We're currently looking at strengthening the spam filters. I'll let you know when I hear more news.

    Thanks for bearing with us!

@NoraGW. You can’t put authorisation only in your registration box?
