Reintroduce Grasshoppers Crickets to my garden?

    I was quite surprised to hear a 'hopper' a few weeks ago in my tiny townie garden. Finally tracked it down to the windowsill beside the wisteria.
    It's still here... somewhere ???
    Was chirping very loudly on Sat afternoon 🎶

    It might be my wisteria mine love. They are certainly very keen on something.

    I can't hear any in my meadow but I can see them. :(

    I don’t hear them as well as OH does. I had one on my bath towel the other night.

    I don't think they are fully grown yet,you hear them more Aug/Sept when they are much bigger.

    I rescued one from a cobweb above my back door yesterday. How did it get up there in the first place? Quite a hop!

    I think any you introduced would quickly be snaffled up by hungry birds. Without a large enough area of grass/wilfldflowers to support a population I imagine they would fly away pretty sharpish. If you have enough habitat Im sure they will come in time
