Euonymus alatus
and some kind of Rubus I think, can't get closer than that

First one is either Euonymus europaeus or E.alatus
Second one looks like a Ribes of some description ; maybe ID when in flower .

Brilliant, thank you. Definitely Stephanandra SS, I took a look at your link. I thought the other one was a Euonymus because the stem had that squared look and feel to it but thank you all for confirming and helping with the species.
