Autumn Sowings

My beds are 14 x 4 foot and I have 3 to potatoes and 2 to onions which will be vacant by end of August
? What can i start off to over winter please
I dont like greens but i have been told that there are winter carrots.

You could plant garlic - I would highly recommend this - I've grown 3 varieties this year - germidour, cristo and casablanca - most planted in Autumn but some planted in January - I have so much good tasty organic garlic with very good sized cloves - it's such a lovely thing to grow and harvest - it's a nice over winter project in the garden or allotment - I got very good results this year - I mulched them with compost over winter which Ive never tried but it has actually produced fantastic results....
I will check out the 3 varieties you mention for the Autumn sowing
