Smell after using nematode treatment?

Has anyone noticed a rather nasty smell after using nematodes on the garden? (For slugs in my case) I suppose it is not unexpected if there are loads of slugs dying underground. I did my nematode dosing at least 2 months ago but the odour returns when there is rain.

Anyone else notice this, or do I have another problem in my garden?

Thanks

No, I've never noticed it, but the heat might have changed the situ.

True Fire, that is why I wondered if anyone else had noticed it this year?

Always use nematodes absolutely no smell ever so maybe you need to investigate further.

dead slugs smell foul sometimes. I found a dead one under a pot, natural causes as far as I know, the smell was disgusting

Thanks for the replies @debs64 and @nutcutlet. I have been round the garden looking for dead animals (other than slugs). Nada, although my garden is small so there is no saying it's not coming from a neighbour.

Perhaps I just had more slugs to start with than you debs? >:)

I never found any dead slugs just never spotted any live ones after the nematodes. I had lots before. No smell. Hope you sort it out

Thanks debs. I deffo had small (1-2inch) dead slugs around which I could see on the paving slabs but not in the borders.

Been no rain, and no smell today... mind you, not much fragrance from any plants either. Ah well.

    Thanks all.
