Perennial ID please

I took a cutting from a plant in Mum's garden a few years ago and rooted planted it (the white curly spike flower behind the phlox).
I'd not noticed it since, but this spring there was quite a patch of them popping out of the ground and they're now in flower, but I don't know what it is, other than I think I'm going to end up with a lot of them..
Any ideas please?

I took some photos earlier and noticed that one had the plant in it, so used it.
I should have taken one of just that plant, but its too hot :)

Thanks Ladybird - that's the one!
I've got the purple variety elsewhere totally different to this one.
I'm surprised how quickly it's spread. I vaguely recall seeing it last year, but was probably smothered in cosmos!

You're very welcome Pete! I like that particular variety myself.

Me too but it can get a bit giddy when happy.    I have seeds of beaujolais, a purple version, to try next year.

I do too. It looks so strong and healthy and very pretty - quite an achievement in this weather. I'm tempted to say how pleased I am that it 'can be invasive', but I know better now at my age :)

Easy enough to control tho, unlike some.
