Bought these beauties at a French market last week. Anyone know what kind they are? (A friend said Marmande). TIA.

    They look more like Cuore di Bue (spelling varies) to me.

    Could be one of many to be fair, even a strain of Marmande! :)   Lots of those grown in France (especially at markets) will come from local farmers' own 'family' seed strains.  Same in Italy and Spain.  If you dry and save some seeds, they may come 'true'  :)

    I ate them and didn't  think to keep the seeds. They were delicious.
