Are my lupins being eaten by slugs? Or something else

Slugs probably, I’ve cut mine right back to the ground now.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

I agree with Lyn, slugs love lupins. I can't cut mine down to ground level, I'd have big bald patches.
