It's rained! For more than an hour! Yeaaaaahhhhhh!

And it's gentle continuous rain, which is exactly what we need.   The ground is beginning to darken which means it's sucking up the water so none will be wasted.  

Thank you Rain God!

    We had about 2 hours of steady rain here in West Midlands couldn't be more pleased despite my garden cushions getting soaked!

    I think our rains now stopped - boo. For a while I was quite hopeful.:'(

    We had a bit and it got quite heavy for a short while. I hope it was enough to put the hill fires out finally. I gave both cars a cursory wash with one bucket of water between them and let the rain do the rinsing. Hopefully there will be enough in the water butts tomorrow to top the pond back up again.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
