Gardening Express

Sooooo... I ordered some plants from Gardening Express, and they sent the wrong variety (of echinacea). The plants they sent look a bit shabby, but I'm sure they would perk up with a bit of tlc. I emailed them to ask if they could send me the variety I was after, and have heard nothing, so I thought I'd call them, only to discover from their website that:

"As an online business we no longer operate a telephone ordering or customer support service. This is to ensure we are fully compliant with new data protection legislation that comes in to force in May 2018."

What should I do...? Plant these ones up so they don't atrophy further, or await an email (which may or may not come)?

One thing I certainly won't do is order from them again...

@pottering girl posted this recently, which might help a bit.

Update on my Gardening Express Order:

Following the email, they got in contact with me, said they'd made a mistake and would send me the correct ones, and let me keep the other ones.

The three new ones arrived (in unlabelled pots). Again a bit shabby, and I'm not 100% sure they are the ones I ordered ("Fatal Attraction", which have very dark, almost black, stalks), but at least they all three look the same variety as each other. The first three were a mixture of two varieties!

Anyway, it came good (ish) in the end, so just thought I'd post to update.

That's a good result, Janie - although I'd have to agree that the stems certainly don't look dark, so you possibly still don't have the correct plant.
I  think that's the problem with these types of suppliers - they aren't nurseries or specialists growers. At least you have something to show for your efforts though!  :)

I planted Echinacea this year for the first time and they have become my new favourite flowers. Sunseekers Pink and Sunseekers Orange.
Those are lovely @Janie B.
