It's the first time I've grown a canna and I am a little disappointed in the flower. First pic is what I've got and the second is the picture on the packaging. What do you think?

Me neither. That's what you get from lidl haha. Actually my lidl cheapo's have been pretty good on the whole. I feel an email coming on.

You've done well even if it's the wrong one.  When I grew them in Belgium - near Gembloux - they'd take all summer to think about growing big enough to flower, finally open a flower in late September and then be zapped by frosts.  I gave up.

Might try again here but not before I have a permanent bed for them as I'm not getting into all the pot moving or plant lifting malarky.  Happy to mulch and give them a blanket but that's it.

Oh well I suppose I should be happy with what I've got Obelixx. It is in a pot though not a really big one.

I grew mine in pots, out the front in full sun.  Good compost, feed and watering.  Always slow tho I did get good foliage.
