Thank you Nutcutlet. I will see how it grows. I had no idea that an Acer and a Sycomore was the same tree family. I have so much to learn. I wanted a tree in the garden but I’m worried a sycamore will grow bigger than expected! 😱 But we shall see. Thank you for your time and knowledge. It was very kind of you. Happy digging! 🌻
If you don't want a massive tree, you should follow Hostafan's advice and cut off all the branches that are plain green, growing from below the graft. The rootstock is very vigorous. The grafted tree much less so and it's prettier.

Thank you Raisingirl. I think I might do that as the thought of a giant tree in the garden is a bit daunting! 😱 Would it be okay to prune it now or do I have to wait until autumn. 🌻
Whichever variety it turns out to be it is too close to your house .... apart from the shade it will cast over your home and the real danger of damage to the foundations, there is a manhole close by which indicates drains ... get rid of the tree before it does any real and expensive damage.
If you have a field, plant it in a corner there.

Thank you everyone for your advise. It does seem a nine starter for the garden. But we do have an orchard, so I plant it down there. And then it can grow as tall and beautiful as nature intended! Thank you so much. You have all been brilliant. It’s hard to to find time in a day, so I appreciate the time you have spent answering my questions. Sorry tree. But you are going on holiday! For a few years! 😁x
