Looking at buying some alliums after reading it looks like globemaster would be the one with the biggest head,  anymore ideas.

If you like a more open one, the spider one is HUGE! Allium schubertii.

Globemaster are huge but (according to the Avon bulbs catalogue) sterile so you don’t get the seedheads which, I think are part of the appeal of Alliums. Pinball Wizard?  Shubertii are lovely! I looked at these last year but ended up choosing the smaller but more intensely purple Purple Sensation and Atropurpureum

Another vote for A.Schubertii from me.
IMHO Globemaster is really tricky to site in the garden so it " looks right"

Globemaster is a excellent variety one of the best and longest flowering, not a fan of  schubertii at all , its far to open and its quite short.

Pinball Wizard is a good one, its a  cross between purple sensation for colour and Christophii for the large heads. Christophii is a good variety, flowers at the same time as globemaster. Round and Purple another large / giant allium.

Have a look in Lidl for allium bulbs, they a cheap and most are a very good size. They do globemaster but they are not full size bulbs about 18-20cm around full size are 26cm+.

I grow quite a few alliums, they are one of my favourites  :)

Christophii are the only ones that are reliably perennial for me. They get huge heads but not as tall as Globemaster or Purple Sensation

I had a mixture of A. Purple Sensation and Purple Rain this year, which worked really well together. Purple Rain has lovely starry heads which are still quite dense.
