Succulent cuttings???

Kay8Kay8 Posts: 216
Hi Everyone!

This year I've become pretty obsessed with succulents. I have over twenty cacti and I've started getting various succulents including sedum, echeverias and sempervivums etc.

I'm just curious if any of you have any succulents that you could send some cuttings of? I am so keen to add to my collection!!

If you do, please reply with what varieties you have. I'll be happy to pay postage! Many thanks x

I have these, the fleshy ones are Lythops, don’t know what the dark ones are called.

I have one lithops. No idea how you take cuttings of those though... I think the dark one may be a haworthia??? I could be wrong x

With the Lythops I just break bits off and very lightly push into gritty compost.
I’ll check on the other one, have you got those as well?

    Looks like haworthia limifolia @Lyn

I don't suppose you have a sedum multiceps to trade do you? I can't find one anywhere (in this country anyway).

Are you after indoor or outdoor succulents? Most of my plants are fairly mainstream but I'm gradually picking up a few less common plants. I could certainly box up a few leaves and stems if you don't mind starting small with things. I've got qute a lot of potted on cuttings but I don't think they'd transport very well.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I don't have that one wild edges unfortunately!! I'm happy with a mix of both indoor and outdoor. As long as I know which is which!! Haha. I love starting from cuttings!! Xx

Do you want some babies then, they root very easily.  Ive never posted any but it worth a try.

A general comment and something I thoroughly recommend.

If anyone is on FaceBook it’s worth seeing if you have a local gardening group.  We have in my town and we post photos, ask for advice etc, share bargains found in garden centres etc.  Also useful for recommendations of local workman for erecting fences, turfing etc.

Anyway, and more relevant to this thread is that we also exchange plants, cuttings and seeds.  Some people grow to sell and some just pot up spare bits and bobs for free.
