Hi does anyone know of an app for android that has photos or a particular plant and says what it is, say a picture of geranium, so I can get used to what plants look like.
Hi ashley - the easiest way is just to type the plant name into google then click on Images If you type geranium into google then select Images you get this
There are some apps that allow you take a photo of a plant and it will attempt to tell you what it is. I have heard of any that are very reliable or accurate, yet, but they will improve over the years.
Pete - you are right, google is the easiest way. Unless it's wrong information like in this case where these are actually Pelargonium. You trouble with the Internet is that you don't know where the information originates from and sometimes certain countries call it NY different names or are using old definitions like geranium for Pelargonium. It's a minefield.
