Banana tree

My young banana tree had about 6 big healthy leaves. I water it on a regular basis.
Today I noticed all the leaves wilting down and shrivelling up. The compost is damp
As usual  i gave it a drink overnight but worse morning. Location and conditions have remained constant. I just can't understand it. Shall I cut leaves off and just
Have the stem ?

    Perhaps overwatered if it's a young plant - and therefore small and getting waterlogged....
    Needing repotted [assuming it's in one]?
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
