Knotweed or not?

Hi - a new weed has grown in the garden, appeared quite quickly, with large heart shaped leaves.  Initial thoughts were Japanese knotweed - however, on closer inspection the leaves do not alternate along the stem- they grow in pairs.  I’ve attached a couple of photos and any advice would be great.
