Help to ID a cottage garden type plant ( grown from seed)

Hello all , I’m new here
i planted a pack of seeds straight in the ground ,a cottage garden mix . The plants are really varied and filled up the bed beautifully. I can’t identify a few bit one in particular I love and would like to grow again so it would help to know it’s name . It has Cosmos type foliage and the flowers are delphiniumesque . Any ideas ? ( if I’ve posted in the wrong place let me know ) Thanks

    Larkspur aka annual delphiniums.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Thank you - also I meant to say -sorry I guess newbie questions get a bit frustrating
However I’m grateful and now know what to look out for next year !

Absolutely not Georgie, ask away, we love new gardeners.

    I'll second that , Welcome !!
    We all started somewhere .

I bought a pack of wild flower seeds purely as an experiment and to fill a blank space I had this year in the garden ; sowed them in late April straight onto the soil .
    What a show !

(PS  £2-99 from Home Bargains) !
  • Thanks both , pleased to have found the forum as I’m bound to have lots more daft questions  :)

I got mine from Wilko and they are fab . I’m getting my Beloved to dig me a new circular bed in the middle of the lawn for next year so I can grow more

Oh, no, they are there, hiding in damp places waiting for the rain. 🌱🌱🌱
